Research has shown Far UV 222nm Lighting to be Safe for Human and Animal Exposure. Although Far-UVC 222nm light can penetrate and kill bacteria such as coronavirus, SARS virus, etc. it is unable to meaningfully penetrate the dead skin cells in the stratum corneum.
Far-UVC 222nm lights can eradicate single-cell organisms, with less energy and with no photoreactivation. Far-UVC 222nm light primarily kills microbes by resonating with the proteins in the microbe’s outer membrane causing it to fail, rather than just the DNA itself.
